Adam Gurri Said He'll Think About It
So you're saying there's a chance
Four hours ago, I sent Adam Gurri a pitch that would solve his budget issue: a Liberal Currents social credit system that would allow him to pay volunteers in brownie points. With the help of Claude and my pre-LLM experience making a clone of Kalshi, I hosted a demo on browniepoints.ordoliberal.com, crossed my fingers, and awaited his response. As busy as he was, he graciously gave me a prompt reply.

In the industry, this is what we call "a bite." So I sweetened the pot by reminding him of how much power this would give him.

Adam Gurri is a smart man. I trust him to give my idea a fair, measured shake independent of my other pitches. I also trust him to take his colleagues' wants and needs into account, which is why I'm spending the next few days bringing other Liberal Currents people onto my side with a time-tested technique.
Bribery
I made appeals to Adam's circle on the Liberal Currents Discord server, with the idea being that he would see the wisdom of this if his colleagues were also aware.

Some people expressed skepticism.

But I smoothed over their concerns by offering an incentive: a share of brownie points I would receive in the future. All they would have to do is sign up! Through this, their social capital became tied with the future of this project, giving them a reason to argue and court Adam on my behalf.

Anyway, that's why I'm writing this. If you're someone Adam Gurri likes, I will bribe you in future brownie points to sign up as long as you send proof of social credit. You can reach me on Discord at "standardsystem" and on Bluesky. Talk to you soon!
